For me facilitation is about being a catalyst for groups of people to do their best work together. I use creative methods to facilitate deeper engagement- engaging learners in an issue, engaging employees in shared purpose, engaging stakeholders in a wider project. I think of myself as a process designer. Even if it is just one workshop, it is a always part of a longer-term process or a wider context. CreativityThis quote by Albert Einstein is ubiquitous but I always come back to it. It summarises in simple language what I feel ties all the work I do together. Humans need to become radically creative- fast. I describe what I do as Creative Engagement. Facilitation is one part of that.

MethodologyTheoretical underpinnings to the work I do are derived from systems thinking and theories of non-formal learning/ popular education. Methods I use are drawn from creative activism, non-formal learning, service design thinking, community development, global citizenship education and most importantly the Art of Hosting Conversations That Matter.

Experience I have 15 years experience in creative facilitation and process design. My favourite moment as a facilitator is when I see people really challenging themselves, creating something new together and achieving results they themselves doubted were possible.
